Digital Photographic Senior Portraits with a Creative Touch
Senior Portraits are a most unique portrait. This portrait
marks the completion of one stage in life, 13 years of schooling and
the entry
of the next step either extended education or a step into the
workplace,
both a step to adulthood.
Denny Scott Photography offers unique artistic ways to make your
senior portrait most memorable.
First, there is the studio portrait using a multitude of studio
techniques. Whether you are looking for a head shot style, three
quarters or full length portrait starting in the studio is a great way
to go. In studio I have a variety of backdrops including pitch
black and white white along with a variety of canvas backdrops. I
also have a virtual backdrop
system which I have a variety of background slides from scenic to
psychedelic
enabling a unique background. Also, I have Chroma Screen
capabilities which allows
me
to do almost unlimited background changes.
Second, there is the outdoor location. Using outdoor
locations such as Vandeveer or Duck Creek Park inland or Leech Park in
Bettendorf
and the Davenport Riverfront, we are able to make some very awesome
images.
Plus, there are also a few Bluff top locations along the upper
Davenport
area available to make even more powerful portraits. On the Illinois
side there are a variety of parks and locations such as the Deere
display, the Mark area, Longview park, Haugber Center, and the
Botanical Center to name a few. Plus, school fields (please get
permission first). And, bring
your
car or motorcycle as we can set up at any one of these locations.
Third, your choice of indoor locations. Get clearance from
your school and we can schedule a time to make your portrait in your
favorite
classroom or activity location. Other locations indoor can be
used
with proper coordination.
Prior to the session we have a consultation either in person or
over the phone to coordinate the session to work out creative details.
A Tip for a Better Portrait
The successful portrait is the one in which the subject and the
photographer both strive for perfection. Attitude shows up in a
photograph much the
same way as you can hear a radio disk jockey speaking while in a sour
mood.
As this is usually a situational event, it is necessary that we all
work
hard to create the perfect portrait. For those who wear makeup, choose
one
shade darker of lipstick to enhance facial features and use a matte
style of powdering finish to reduce shine. Guys, you may even
consider this as everyone on television gets made up to reduce shine.
